Too Faced-Fun In The Dark Palette

About a month ago I bought this palette and I have REALLY been loving this palette! Of course there are things that I love and that I hate about it so I am here to tell you my thoughts! First I bought it on sale for 16.25 at Sephora and thought that was a price I just could not resist! It comes with 4 eye shadows, a blush, a bronzer, lipstick and a gloss.

The 4 eye shadows are in Pin Up, Peep Show, Full Frontal, and Lucky Charms. I absolutely love the texture and pigmentation of these shadows!!! I think they are very highly pigmented and they almost feel creamy when you rub your finger in them. I find them very easy to blend and I can make a beautiful neutral look in just a few minutes. Lucky Charms, which is the green color in the palette threw me off a bit. I thought to myself "why would that be in here!!" and I do still somewhat wonder why..... Its a beautiful color but I dont use it as much as I use the other shadows! The shadows do blend beautifully and I love them! I use them almost daily!

The cheek color.. Papa Don't Peach, is a beautiful peachy pink shade and works really well for my skin tone. Gives me that "glow from within" look. I use just a little and sweep it all over my cheeks and its beautiful!

The Bronzer is called Sun Bunny, and its so pretty. Half of it is a lighter bronzer and half is a darker bronzer. I dont use them individually, I just take my brush and swirl it around and get a beautiful medium, slightly shimmery bronzer. I sometimes just sweep that on my cheeks and go.

Now the two lip colors...not my favourite. First I dont really like having lip products in pans like this, and I dont like them being so close to powders..just gets too messy. The "lipstick" in "Free Love" is a really beautiful color, and I would love to get my hands on that lipstick! Its a beautiful creamy light nude pink color and I do actually use that often. The lip gloss on the other hand, in Tropical Pink, is horrible.....I wish it wasnt but it is! Mine is like faded,so half of it is like this pink purple color and then the top half is like a clear color..so I think its old. It has glitter in it,but I dont feel the glitter on my lips so thats a good thing. There is NO color pay off with that lipgloss at all,and really was a waste to add it to the palette to begin with.
Lastly, lets talk about the Mirror and the Lights on the mirror. The mirror is fantastic, nice and big and I love having a mirror with my palettes. BUT! Yes,there is a but. Those lights that come with the palette are soooo bright. Too bright. They hurt your eyes and are not flattering what so ever. I like the concept, I think its neat, original and fun.. but those lights are just too much for me. I cant wait for them to die out. I hear you can turn the light off, but I just have not found that secret button on the top right corner to be able to do it.

All in all, for $16.25..it was totally worth it! The shadows alone are worth that much to me! Its a great little palette!

Betsey Johnson-30th Anniversary Watch!

I recently purchased this watch..er well, my husband bought it for me! LOL! It was on a great sale and I was actually hunting for a WHITE Watch! But I wanted one that I had NOT seen on everyone and their mother! So I saw this, and thought to myself that I had to have it....but instead..silly me, walked away without buying it. 3 days passed and I could NOT stop thinking about this darn watch! I needed to have it! And I needed to have it BAD! So my husband surprised me and brought it home for me one day and I was SOOOO excited! It came in this beautiful pink box, with a watch pillow on the inside and this beauty wrapped around it! I was in LOVE! I put this on and knew it was the right watch for me! its just so pretty and soooo perfect! Its definatly "me!" It retails for (or DID retail for I am not sure how you guys could get your hands on this watch) for 125.00 USD but I was able to get it for only $59.99! How Awesome is that!! Great deal!! So yea, this is my new watch and I am so thrilled to have it!

elf Studio Blushes-A Review

Lately I have been hooked on these ELF Studio Blushes! They are SO Pigmented, most are really creamy feeling, even though they are powder blushes! They retail for $3 on the ELF website. You may be able to find them at your local Target! I really love these!!!

TICKLED PINK

Tickled Pink is one of my favourites! Super pigmented and gives me a great cheek glow! Love it!!

PINK PASSION

Pink Passion is INTENSE!! But with a light hand, you can really get a great pink cheek! I love this one,but I have learnt my lesson! LESS is more with this blush! So pigmented and a little goes a long way!

PEACHY KEEN

Peachy Keen is beautiful! I love peach color blushes so this one was a must have for me! It makes my cheeks glow, kinda like that "glow from within" kinda look!! Of course, its super pigmented and creamy! Who doesn't look good in a peach colored blush? I think it would work on all skin tones!!

MELLOW MAUVE

Mellow Mauve for me is a perfect fall blush color! I worn this a lot last fall and winter and loved it! I keep a light hand when applying this blush, because my skin is very fair but its beautiful! Really easy to apply and blend out!

GOTTA GLOW

I was SO excited when I saw Gotta Glow on the website! I love highlighters, and have a ton of them so when I saw this I knew I had to have it! It is white, but when you use it, it gives off a great yellow/gold shimmer to it. Its stunning!! Definitely one of my favorite highlighters! Its really unique from any other highlighter I have! Apparently it is a dupe for NARS Albatross highlighter, that I cannot confirm or deny because I dont own NARS but, either way, I love this highlighter!

FUSHIA FUSION

Oh boy! Fushia Fusion! YIKES!! I saw this on the website and thought to myself "omg how would I wear that!!!" But of course, I ordered it anyway knowing it had to be part of my collection! I dont wear this very much, as its hard for me to wear! it is highly pigmented,of course. It does have small glitters in it,but its not overpowering or chunky,so thats really good! Its really HOT PINK and I think I need to try out this blush more! Its definitely unique to my collection because I do not usually go for HOT PINK blushes, but since it was only $3 and I (of course!) had a elf coupon code, I ordered it anyway! Let me know what you think of this blush! Any tips on how to wear it without looking silly?!

Merry

And Lastly, Merry. What a pretty blush! I dont wear it much in the summer, but since it is fall right around the corner, I am really excited to pull this blush back out and wear it! its very pretty plum kinda pink color. I really love this blush a lot!

Okay so those are the ELF Studio blushes. My favourites are Peachy Keen, Gotta Glow and Tickled Pink! Those colors are SO wearable, and perfect for my skin tone! Those are MY must haves!! I absolutely LOVE the packaging on these blushes too. They are very much like NARS packaging, but in my opinion even better than the nars because these ones have a little window so you can see the color without having to open it and it comes with a small mirror which is wonderful!

Check out these blushes on elfs website!!!

e.l.f $1 Bronzers + Highlighters!!! Review

Continuing on with my e.l.f reviews that I am doing, this is going to be talking about the Bronzers and Highlighter from their 1$ line again. I have had these for over a year and have had many chances to use these products!! Lets begin with the review! This time I am going to start with the packaging!

I dislike the packaging more than any other ELF Product!! The front part of it is perfectly find...just clear plastic with the word "elf" on it, and it also says "Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder"...Its fine..But on the back side, where the product name is...thats where I have my problem. This compact is bad...really bad..It is all clear, so you can see the underside of the products pan, and you can see the glue. On a few of my bronzers you can actually see what I can only describe as dirt? old product that got stuck to the glue?... I dont know. It doesnt look pretty at all though. This packaging does need to be fixed, because I wouldn't dare pull this out of my person and want someone to see it..It just looks dirty. Now with that aside, lets get on to the good stuff..the actual product!!!

Lets start with Luminance

This is a beautiful highlight color. It is not white, or gold, its more of a beige kind of color. When placed on your skin,it will just give you the most beautiful glow. I use it all the time as a cheek bone highlight, and also use it as a brow highlight color. This highlight powder is very pigmented, and feels really creamy. I do believe ELF has changed the formula of these powders because I had another one a while back that anytime I put my brush in the product, it would just all turn to loose powder and it was be a horrible mess. Now it seems a lot more packed into the package, which is awesome! I love this highlighter, and for $1, its fantastic!!

Sun Kissed

This more like a bronzey pinky kind of color if that helps at all. There is some definite pink in this though! It is fantastic as a cheek color on my skin tone and I really enjoy this color!! It is shimmery, so when I do use this color, I have no need for a blush or a cheek highlight, I just use it as an all over cheek color and I am ready to go! Its a beautiful shade! On darker skin tones it would be fantastic as a cheek glow, just to add a nice highlighter glow to the face. I think its fantastic!

Warm Tan

Warm than is very shimmery and much darker than the other bronzer I told you about. I dont use this on my face, I do however use it as an eyeshadow. Its a bit too gold too bronze for me,and too shimmery. I must say though, this powder feels the best to me. It feels like silk when you rub your finger over the product and that I really love!
I just don't like it on my skin at all. But if you do own this bronzer, and have a difficult time using it as a bronzer like I do, try it as an eyeshadow! It has great pigmentation and goes on so smooth!

Matte Bronze

This bronzer I was really excited about! I wanted a great contour color and thought this would be it!! It is great, but its a bit dark for my skin, but I am able to use it as long as I have a very light hand and dont pick up too much product! As for it being matte, hmm...it is matte, but when I look at the product, I can see little small bits of Gold glitter in it. When swatched on my hand, those bits of glitter dont seem to transfer onto my hand. Strange. Its very dark,so if you are darker than me, which I am NW 20 in MAC Foundation, then this might be really great for you as a contour. I have since bought a different contour color,so this product doesnt get used as often as I could. As for the pigmentation, its fantastic! its not chalky and goes on really smoothe. Its easy to blend which is a must when you are talking about using it as a contour color!! Even if you are fair skinned like me, with a super light hand and tapping off any excess powder then you will be able to use it!!

And Last but not least, the $1 Blush and Bronzer duo. I purchased this from Target about a month ago,and I was curious if it was the exact same as the studio line $3 Blush and Bronzer duo that I love..and truth be told, it is quite similar but not exactly the same. The shades of the products is similar, but the texture of the blush/bronzer are completely different. This $1 duo is much softer to the touch, while the Studio Line Blush/bronzer duo feels like of rough. These 2 colors are very pigmented and blend very nicely and I really love this blush/bronzer duo better than the Studio Line Blush/Bronzer duo, which really surprised me because I really really love the Studio line one. I am unsure if this duo is being sold on eyeslipsface.com, you should check it out though.

So that completes my review of these bronzers/highlighter. I hope you enjoyed and if you have any questions, please just ask!!

E.L.F $1 Blushes

Way way back over a year ago, I purchased all of the 1$ ELF Blushes that they had. I have used them many times and now feel I can give a review about them that may be very helpful if you have never used them and are skeptical because of the price etc. So I will go through all the colors I have and let you know what I think!

Above is ELF Bronzed. Probably my least favourite of the bunch. It is very pigmented and not chalky at all, but the color of it just isn't what I would use as a bronzer/blush. I imagine that it would look beautiful on darker skin tones than mine, but I am fair skinned and it just doesnt work for me.

Above:Flushed
Flushed was actually the first 1$ Blush I got from ELF and it looked SO pretty on the website and when I got it home and swatched it I couldnt help but to think "OMG I cant wear that!!!" It is SO pink, so pigmented and very very vibrant! It is a hard colour for me to wear, but with a very light hand and good blending, it is very wearable on someone with my skin tone. Again, this would be beautiful for someone who is dark skinned. All of the blushes do have some shimmer to them. I am happy that they are shimmery and not at all glittery because I do not like glitter in my blush usually!

Above Glow(No idea what happened to the color on this photo, i swear, its pink! Weird
((This is the only photo that doesnt look exactly like the actual color. I'm sorry!))

Glow is an absolutely beautiful baby pink color that I absolutely love! Its like a baby pink/ coral/rose color. It is perfect for my light skin, goes on very smooth, and like I stated above, it is shimmery. I dont find these blushes chalky what so ever and I really love this blush. It is a go to blush of mine when I just want to quickly put a light color on my cheeks before running out of the house. It is easy to work with and I truly enjoy this color! For me, its a must have from ELF!!

Above is Innocence
This is probably my second least favourite blush from this line. It is extremely light, no shimmer to it at all, and the color pay off is poor. When I swatch it on my finger you can see color, but when i rub it into my hand, it basically disappears. I never use this blush, and would not recommend it at all...even if it is only a dollar. If it was more pigmented, it would be a perfect soft baby pink, but its not. So this is a something to pass on.

Above is Shy..
To me, Shy is absolutely beautiful. I love the texture of it, it feels creamy and is it very pigmented. The color is like a pink rose color and kind of a plum tone to it. Hard for me to explain, but its beautiful! Gives a beautiful glow to the cheeks and its beautiful! Another must have from ELF!! Great for the summer, but one of those blushes you can really enjoy year round!

Above is Coy..

Last but not lease is my FAVOURITE...Coy..This blush is amazing. Like most of the other blushes, it is highly pigmented, creamy, and easy to blend. It does have slight shimmer to it,but nothing overwhelming! It is pink, and kind of bronze... Seems like there is some gold in there as well.. Its extremely difficult to describe, one of those products you must see it to understand. I absolutely love the way this blush looks on my skin. It gives me a great glow, with a beautiful color!! I think it would be perfect on all skin tones!! Its unlike any other blush and to me definitely a must have! If you were to only order ONE of these blushes, please get Coy!

Now as for the packaging, it is not my favourite. As you saw in the pictures, it is a clear plastic case, and the lid slides up, revealing the product. You get a lot of product in here though, which is always nice! I understand these blushes were only $1 and for that simple fact, I can accept the packaging..and appreciate the product inside, but if I had it my way,the packaging would be updated to fit better within the ELF company because now a lot of the newer products have very sleek packaging!!!

Final thoughts. Most of the blushes are absolutely beautiful. I think woman of all ages and races can wear at least one of these blushes! If you haven't already, go and check out eyeslipsface.com and get one because I believe you truly will enjoy them!! They are great, not only because they cost only $1 but also because they are pigmented and creamy feeling and not chalky at all!! Check them out!!

Disclaimer-I wasnt paid, I wasnt given the products. I just truly enjoy these blushes and felt like blogging!!

Back to Blogging

Okay Okay,so I have been a horrible blogger. But! I am trying now really hard to be better! I just feel like there are not enough hours in the day! Anyway though, these next few blogs are going to be about my E.L.F makeup that I have! Just to get me started. This seems like a good place to start because its not only affordable, but it is also for the most part some fantastic makeup!!! So lets begin!
